Supporting Our Community
Sitka All-Terrain Riders is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the betterment of our community. We focus on helping those in need, particularly during the challenging winter months. Through our initiatives, we aim to provide essential and assistance to individuals and families facing hardships. Join us in making a positive impact and fostering a spirit of compassion and support within our community.
Membership Benefits
One of the best things membership can provide Sitka All- Terrain Riders is the ability to apply for grants. The number of members dictates what grants we can apply for and there are many we can’t get without greater number of memberships. Also, becoming a member gives access to exclusive perks, priority access to events, and special member-only activities.
These are a few of the services we provide to our community of Sitka:

Plow snow off of over 15 miles of sidewalks.

A $2,500 Lael Grant Scholarship is provided to a graduating high school senior heading to a trade school.

Provide free rides for other fundraising events in our community.

Help the elderly community with snow removal.

Donate funds or products to other organizations, like Friends of Sitka Animal Shelter.

Help families in need that have experienced a tragedy or sudden family loss.

Volunteer laying American flags at the Sitka National Cemetery in honor of our fallen military hero's.

Provide equipment and fuel to help keep Kruzof Island roads and trails free of brush and debris.

Our Story
Sitka All-Terrain Riders, Inc. was established in 2022. I started the nonprofit to have a voice for riders in Sitka to be able to ride on the city roads when our Alaska governor approved this for small towns. At the time of State approval our city assembly voted to not allow this in Sitka. So I created this nonprofit to give a voice and work with assembly plus local police and fire departments and come up with “rules of the road” for our community. After many, many hours and months of assembly meetings the Sitka assembly approved ATVs and UTVs for use on the Sitka road system. Today we still work closely with the assembly to modify and improve the city ordinances for the community and our riders.
